Stainless steel cabinets are usually made of 201 and 304 material.

1. 201 stainless steel is darker than 304 in normal conditions. 304 is whiter and brighter, but these are not easily distinguishable by the eyes.

2. The carbon content of 201 is higher than 304. The toughness of 304 is higher than 201. 201 is relatively hard and brittle, while 304 is very soft. Moreover, the nickel content is different, the corrosion resistance of 201 is far less than 304 stainless steel, and the acid and alkali resistance of 304 is also better than 201.

3. If we want to test whether our kitchen cabinets are using 304 stainless steel, there is a stainless steel detection potion which can distinguish which kind of stainless steel with  just a few drops in seconds.

Although the appearance of these two kinds of cabinets looks the same, but over time the difference between them will appear, so please be careful when choosing stainless steel cabinets.
